The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic association of Catholics who, with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Graces, serve the Church and their neighbor on a voluntary basis in about 170 countries. The Legion of Mary at St. Andrew’s currently has a praesidium that holds its meetings in Spanish and a praesidium that holds its meetings in English. The English is (Queen of Peace Praesidium) and the Spanish is (Our Lady of Guadalupe/Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Praesidium). There are active members of the Legion of Mary who meet weekly for about an hour and a half, and auxiliary members who dedicate time and prayers to support the Legion of Mary’s efforts in the local praesidium and the world. Active members meet for approximately an hour and a half each week, pray together and on their own, and use the meeting to schedule works of charity as part of Mary’s efforts to redeem the world and provide feedback to their respective praesidium each week.
