Sr. Joellen Kohlmann Director of Religious Education [email protected] 458-2925 x113 Sister Joellen is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, which is also her home town. She was raised on a small dairy farm and has one sister and brother, a sister-in-law as well as a wonderful extended family which includes nine nieces and nephews, thirteen great nieces and nephews and a great great niece in Wisconsin. She received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Dayton and has worked in the field of education for over forty years -- seventeen of which as a school principal. Sister has taught in Wisconsin, Arizona, Michigan, Ohio, and Nebraska. She is not new to the Diocese, having served as Principal at San Xavier Mission School in Tucson, and at Immaculate Conception School in Yuma. She previously taught religion classes at Guardian Angels Central Catholic in West Point, Nebraska. She has enjoyed returning to Arizona and working with everyone at St. Andrew’s as our Director of Religious Education. She enjoys assisting parents in the faith formation of their children including making their First Communion and Confirmation.” Sister Joellen just celebrated thirty plus years of profession as a religious Sister and is ready to enjoy many more. Sister welcomes any young woman to stop in and speak with her about religious life and why her vocation has been so rewarding to her.
