Dear Father Greg,

Hello ... from Kyrgyzstan.

Hoping and trusting that all is well.  The parishioners and their pastor have remained very much in my thoughts and prayers these weeks, since returning to Kyrgyzstan.  I have prayed "with" you especially during this Lent.

Today, I am leaving for the western part of the country to visit our parish there (and some of the little Catholic communities in the surrounding area.)  I will return there on Mercy Sunday to perform Confirmations. The faith of these Christians always moves me.

At the risk of boring you, I attach a little article that I was asked to write on the meaning of Fr. Walter Ciszek's priesthood for the church in this part of the world today.  It was written for an Irish Publication. I send it as I have been reflecting so much these days on Providence and on God's amazing, active goodness.

Of course, your own priesthood and friendship--and the kindness of the Parishioners at St. Andrew fit very well into the witness of this providential care of God.

All the best, Greg, for a wonderfully fruitful continuation of Lent.

I count on your prayers and promise mine.

In Christ,
Anthony
